The purpose of this site - indeed that of very many sites around the world, is the distribution of useful information over the internet. This covers an awful lot of ground of course, and in my case I am concerned with the electronic distribution of literature, and other texts.
I am currently developing a proprietry file format that will be capable of very high levels of text compression, but until that is finalised, I shall be posting files compressed using the almost ubiqutious '.zip' compressed format.
This is just an offshoot of my main site, which has some translations, statistical data on literature, downloadable music and software, and NO pop up windows or banners. Just touch the fish below, or click here
The whole text, some five Megabytes uncompressed is organised into three sections for downloading: Histories, Tradegies, and Comedies. (The sonnets and poems are included with the Histories for reasons of space...).
